Adding and Managing Affiliates

Affiliate management is done under the People tab on your BV Commerce admin page. Click Affiliates to get started.

Click New to add an affiliate. Once you have affiliates entered into your BV Commerce web store, you can use the Filter to search for a particular affiliate.

On the Edit Affiliate page you enter the pertinent information about your affiliate.

You can also choose the type of commission your affiliates are entitled to: flat rate or percentage of sale.

You can choose to Enable or Disable this affiliate. Remember to click Save Changes when you’re done.

Once you have created an affiliate you provide them with a link to your store. The "referral id" field is used to identify leads coming from each affiliate. For example, if you have an affiliate with a referral id of "ABC123" and your store is located at http://mystore.bvcommerce.com then you would provide the affiliate with the link of:

http://mystore.bvcommerce.com?affid=ABC123

The query string parameter of "?affid=ABC123" can be added to almost any page in your store allowing affiliates to link directly to products or categories and still receive credit when customers order.

The sales by affiliate report shows which orders came from which affiliates and displays the calculated commissions based on each affiliate's settings.
