Shipping Methods

Your BV Commerce shopping cart allows you choose a variety of shipping methods. You can add or edit shipping methods under Options: Shipping Methods.

Shipping Method Choices

Use Flat Rate Per Item to charge one amount for every item in an order regardless of how many items are in the order.

Use Flat Rate Per Order to charge a simple fixed amount per order for this shipping method.

Use Rate Table Per Item to charge an amount per item in the order. The rate table allows you to set levels. For example, you could charge $1.00 per item if the order contains less than 10 items or $0.50 per item if the order contains ten or more. It is a good idea to set your first level to 0, ensuring it will always be used as the starting point.

Use Rate Table by Total Item Count to charge a fixed amount based on the total items in the order. For example, $10.00 for 1 item, $15.00 for two or more.

Use Rate Table by Total Price to charge a fixed amount based on the sub total of the order. For example, $5.00 on orders less than $99 and $7.50 for orders over $99.

Use Rate Table by Total Weight to charge a fixed amount based on the total weight of the order. For example, $2.00 for less than 5 pounds and $9.00 for more than 5 pounds.
